project briefs | Tiger Oak Publications

We are excited about our design for the new offices of Tiger Oak Publications. The company publishes a number of great magazines in Seattle: Seattle Magazine, Northwest Home, Seattle Business Monthly, Seattle Bride, and Northwest Meetings and Events.

Tiger Oak found a great space in the SoDo District with lots of character in the form of vintage brick walls, giant Douglas fir beams, and wall-to-wall hardwood floors. Unfortunately, the building doesn’t have a lot of windows. To maintain a connection to the outdoors, the office’s central core was kept open so views to the outside are possible from even the most remote portions of the building.

As we continue to develop design details, the building is going through the usual permitting process. When permitting is complete, we expect to start construction this summer.
