Architecture is a small piece of this human equation, but for those of us who practice it, we believe in its potential to enlighten and to enrich the human experience, to penetrate the barriers of misunderstanding and provide a beautiful context for life’s drama. ~ Frank Gehry

Nani Foca was first introduced to the field of architecture at a technical college in Kirkland. Quickly realizing that it would not be nearly enough to learn about this vast and highly creative field, she decided to take her education further. She earned her BA in architecture from University of Washington in 2010.

Prior to attending UW, and following it, she has gained experience working on both custom and production residential homes throughout the Northwest. She has been a part of SSA since May of 2016.

Outside of work, Nani enjoys restoring old or worn out pieces of furniture in her garage when time allows, which she began doing after taking part in the furniture studio at the University of Washington. This allows her to work with her hands on a smaller scale and experiment with stains, paints and different materials.

Nani lives on the eastside with her husband and 2 year old son, with whom she spends most of her spare time hiking, exploring the city and traveling.
