Kimber is a licensed architect with 12 years of experience in residential, commercial and public work. Her strong design skills and specialization in historic preservation brings a solid focus to historic building reuse. Kimber is proficient with new construction and renovation, and comfortable with the challenges historic structures bring to the design process. She has been instrumental in introducing 3-D BIM technology to the firm.
Kimber has had the opportunity to work as an architect in places like Yosemite National Park, Point Reyes National Seashore, and the North Cascades. She studied architecture in Paris and Rome, and comes from a background of fine arts, architectural design, and historic preservation.
Graduating with honors from the University of Washington in the Master of Architecture program, Kimber received accolades for her participation in the Historic Preservation Certificate Program. On weekends you can find her and her husband climbing rocks, skiing mountains, or sleeping late.
