David Marchetti is a licensed architect, a LEED Accredited Professional, and Senior Associate for Stuart Silk Architects. He has been practicing architecture since 2000, and has been at SSA since 2006. In addition to Washington State, David has worked on custom homes in Connecticut, New York, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, Colorado, Montana, and the Oregon Coast. This variety of experience has given him a well-balanced understanding of the technical, environmental, and cultural aspects of residential architecture.
David received a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. While in school, he focused on exploring a diverse range of working ideologies in addition to conventional studio design. His favorites were a design/build project for the Washington Park Arboretum, a cross-disciplinary field studio in rural Taiwan, and a community-funded design/build project for a local homeless encampment. These experiences have engrained in him a sense of teamwork and collaboration, which he strives to apply to all of his professional relationships.
