Brie Nakamura is a Project Manager for Stuart Silk Architects with over seven years of experience. She enjoys working on a range of architectural styles from traditional to contemporary with an extensive background in both remodels and new construction. She sees each project as a unique design opportunity to realize a client’s dreams and strives to find a harmonious balance between form and function.
An artist at heart, Brie’s passion for functional art and craftsmanship led her to pursue a career in architecture. Brie received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Washington where she participated in the UW Furniture program and worked as a Graduate Student Assistant in furniture studios. She also participated in the Yakima Design Studio designing and building a planned community for the Yakama Indian Reservation. As part of her studies, Brie worked as a corporate interior designer and space planner before shifting her focus to custom residential design. She has since worked as both an architectural and interior designer throughout the greater Seattle area.
Outside of the office, Brie enjoys making furniture, gardening, cooking and sewing. She also loves spending time with her husband and two children taking advantage of all the Northwest has to offer.
